Get Involved!

Sponsorship Requirements.
Employers joining the project as full design partners are asked to provide three kinds of support:

  1. Financial support–significant contributions to the project's resources that supplement the federal dollars and focus primarily on a major outreach, recruitment and screening campaign
  2. Technical design support–participation of both production and human resource managers/experts in designing the project's certification standards, assessments and training program
  3. Advisory support–oversight and guidance as project components are designed, developed, tested, validated and replicated statewide

Sponsor Benefits. Contributions are tax-deductible, since their primary purpose is to help develop Virginia's capacity to supply qualified workers for the state's "life sciences" cluster in advanced manufacturing. We are confident, however, that early sponsors will gain sufficient
benefits in reduced costs of recruiting, hiring and retaining qualified applicants, and in favorable publicity, to produce a high rate of return on these contributions.

Specific benefits include:

  1. Preferred access to training program graduates
  2. Direct recruitment support–targeted recruitment and prescreening of job applicants through local career centers
  3. Advertising your career opportunities–concentration of video footage for outreach on investor workplaces, jobs, and key staff as interviewees
  4. Ensuring the certification and training meets your specific corporate needs–direct design input to standards and program designs, ensuring that these programs match
    closely each investor's hiring needs
  5. Publicity as sponsors–publicity as the initiative's sponsors in all project media materials, including Website(s), printed materials, public event announcements and programs, and video advertisements

Suggested Contributions. Contributions are tax-deductible, and have a primary purpose of helping build a larger overall supply of qualified workers for Virginia's advanced manufacturing sector, direct benefits of being a pioneer funder and designer are expected to produce a high rate of return in reduced recruitment, hiring and turnover costs.

The suggested contributions are based on number of employees:

  • >250 Employees $50,000.00 per year
  • 101–250 Employees $25,000.00 per year
  • 50–100 Employees $10,000.00 per year
  • <50 Employees $5,000.00 per year
